If a town could be considered the “perfect” vacation destination for Cougars or Single Ladies, it would definitely be San Juan del Sur on the Southern Pacific coast of Nicaragua! I know, I moved here four years ago at the age of 40 and I love my life! Everyone knows I’m a “cougar” and it’s OK! 
For Halloween this year I was a Super Hero. “SC” adorned my chest along with kitty cat ears, tail, and a collar. My motto was: “I am a super hero sent here to save the boring lives of all single women over 35, I am ‘Super Cougar’”; and now I’m ready to really be a “Super Cougar” and help you have a great vacation!
So what makes SJDS the perfect cougar/single lady vacation town where women can meet men? There are several factors:
1. A large population of single male Americans, Canadians, etc. “gringos”, who are surfers, realtors, developers, contractors, or people who just want the less stressful laid back life of living in Nicaragua. However there aren’t a lot of single female counterparts; good for us!
2. A large population of single local guys who absolutely love women regardless of their age. That is the Latin culture and they really have earned the reputation of “Latin Lovers”! o

3. It’s a vacation hot spot in Nicaragua for surfers. So not only do you have all the men who live here, you also have a lot of tourists. My favorite saying is “not all crack is bad” because the surfers often wear their board shorts about an inch too low. Hard bodied surfer crack is definitely not plumber crack. Plus San Juan del Sur is where the Nicaraguans come to party on weekends and holidays!
4. The weather here is perfect, summer all year-long, which means men without shirts walking around town or playing on the beach! 
5. The surfing beaches! Nothing like spending an afternoon watching these hard bodies catch a wave or better yet take a lesson from one of them.
6. The sunsets! Every afternoon about an hour before sunset you will find groups of men playing soccer, baseball, or volleyball on the beach. Enjoy a cocktail while watching the shirtless action; if you’re not too distracted you might actually see one of our amazing sunsets or watch a cruise ship depart!
7. Safety! Nicaragua has the lowest crime rate of all Central American countries and the airport in the capital city of Managua was recently voted the safest Central American airport. Plus San Juan del Sur is the perfect little walking town, only about 6 blocks by 3 blocks along the beach area where all the action is. I’ll take you on a walking tour the first day so you will become acquainted with the town and feel free to venture out on your own if you choose.

I’ve been here for 4 years and I know everyone! Well not everyone, the current population including the surrounding area is 18,000, but I do know a lot of people. Guaranteed that you will meet people when you go out with me. Plus everyone looks out for each other like one big happy family.
